For the month of May the EMS Division handled 131 calls for service.
Engine 403 - 2 calls PVFD had two companywide EMS training in May. The first was on syringe based Epi training. PVFD BLS providers were recently approved to administer epi via syringe based draw opposed to the previous auto injector route we were giving it. The second EMS training for the month was on burn care taught by a Penn State Hershey's pre-hospital fellowship physician. Three Fire trainings were held this month. Two trainings this month focuses on Engine company response and assignments. The third was a specific driver/pump training sessions where we took the second round of drivers through their required pump training to get cleared to drive our new Seagrave Tanker we recently took delivery of. Outside of running calls May was a very busy month for our crews. 10 public relations events happened this month. Eight of the events consisted of end of the year school programs for several local Amish schools for both the Fire and EMS division. The other two events was Pequea Valley School Districts Spring Fling event and Paradise Fire Company's car show. This month we also hosted a breakfast buffet fundraiser at our Kinzer station. Thank you for all who came out and supported us at the breakfast! |
